On August 15th, Tu B'Av Eve- Israeli Valentine’s Day, a young couple's public wedding ceremony will be held in Tel-Aviv’s Gan Ha’hashmal. Unlike other couples who are working painstakingly on their guest list, Inna and Pavel have decided to invite all Tel Aviv residents to be guests at their wedding. Everybody are welcome to celebrate with the bride and the groom on the happiest day of their life, dance to "The Apples" band, take part in workshops and study sessions on love and marriage in Israel, enjoy art and fashion exhibitions and celebrate into the night at the Levontin 7 club.

In the festival program: Street performances, art exhibits, interactive playground for children, video art installations, sessions on Judaism, love and marriage, "The Apples" show and a unique glimpse into Gan Ha'hashmal fashion designers shops: "Wedding dress up to 2011. Get married gracefully". "Levontin 7" after party will continue the celebration into the night.

In the State of Israel, the Orthodox rabbinate has a monopoly over Jewish marriage. The state does not recognize the multitude of variants of Jewish life and culture that evolved in Israel in modern times, and sticks with ancient and rigid formulas supported by minorities of the Israeli population and the Jewish world. To date, the state offers no meaningful solution to the plight of hundreds of thousands of couples who do not want, or cannot, be married by religious laws.

Therefore, the marriage ceremony of Inna and Pavel will not be recognized in the Jewish state, despite its Jewish ancient symbols and ties to current Jewish culture and couple's world view and Israeli secular way of life. In order to gain legal recognition and registration status as a married couple by the Ministry of the Interior - Ina and Pavel will need to go out of the country and marry in a lawful civil ceremony abroad.

Tu B'Av, Festival of Love, is being held for the third year in Tel-Aviv by: "Havaya" – Secular Jewish life cycle ceremonies in Israel; “Fishka” - a young Russian speakers community in Israel; and with the support of the New Israel Fund, Genesis Foundation and the Posen Foundation. Event Partners: Youth Department of the Municipality of Tel-Aviv, the "Bina" center for Jewish Identity and Hebrew Culture, the "Midrasha at Oranim" Educational Center for the Renewal of Jewish Life in Israel, Levontin 7 club, "Frau Blau" and many others.

15 Августа в день еврейского праздника любви Ту бе-Ав, в тель авивском парке ха-Хашмаль состоится яркое мероприятие - настоящая альтернативная еврейская свадьба. Инна и Павел приглашают отпраздновать с ними это событие всех жителей Тель Авива и окрестностей!
Празднование альтернативной свадьбы в центре Тель-Авива проводится во третий раз – в прошлые годы мероприятия посетили тысячи человек. Фестиваль любви проводится русскоязычным молодежным сообществом «Фишка» и центр светских израильских церемоний "hАвайя", при поддержке "Нового Израильского Фонда", фондов Генезис и Позен, и в сотрудничестве с центром еврейского светского образования "Бина", академией "Oраним", Форумом свободы бракосочетания, клубом Левонтин 7, модельерами Фрау Блау и другими организациями. Главная цель фестиваля – привлечь общественное внимание к альтернативным возможностям бракосочетания и поднять вопрос культурной, социальной и юридической актуальности проблемы заключения брака в Израиле.
